First Catherdral of the New World Americas

Santo Domingo CITY of LOVE  DAY and NIGHT  Combo

We have prepared an enchanting Santo Domingo program complete with exciting daytime and night-time outings for you in the first City of the New World, City of Colors, Flavors, Happiness, Carnival, and Merengue!

Our Santo Domingo Day/Night combo may be custom tailored based on your particular interest. Tourist destinations may vary upon request.  Feel free to request any particular destination or monument and we'll take you there.  The itinerary below is just an example.

Our Santo Domingo City of Love Combo will have you feeling a great affection for Santo Domingo the oldest city in the New World, where the settlement of all the Americas began. See the first cathedral, the first hospital. Santo Domingo served as the base for all the Spanish expeditions to the recently discovered lands of the New World and as the central court of royal justice for all of Spain's growing colonies.

You will also visit the Plaza de Espania, dominated by the Columbus Alcazar (popularly known as the Columbus House) built by Diego Colon, Columbus's oldest son, in 1509. Los Tres Ojos caves, the Columbus Lighthouse, the National Aquarium, and the city's unforgettable shopping bazaars.

We'll walk along the Calle de las Damas (Street of the Ladies), the oldest and most romantic part of the city, visiting the Ozama Fortress, the oldest mansions in the Americas. Walk down cobble stone streets among the Spanish colonial architecture and imagine how things were back in the 1600s.

No other city in the Caribbean has a greater variety of restaurants and night life. Santo Domingo's dining scene rivals any cosmopolitan city around the world. A truly international mix, we'll take you were you can find every type of cuisine as well as savory Dominican dishes at superb restaurants. Santo Domingo is a great place to meet people. A lot of young single executives who come here to work end up leaving (if they leave) married to a Dominican.

Our City of Love Combo our features the most important historical monuments in the Zona Colonial, plus time for shopping including a visit to the colorful Mercado Modelo (Model Market), a huge indoor crafts market in the Colonial City. There you can bargain for Dominican arts and crafts and appreciate a bit of the life of everyday Dominicans. We'll have lunch in a restaurant where you can try our "platos tipicos" (typical regional food). And Yes! We'll also visit the modern part of the Capital, including the Presidential Palace, the Cultural Center with its National Theater, Museum of Dominican Man, and Gallery of Modern Art, and we'll drive through the beautiful South Mirador Park. Our Tour also includes a visit to the National Aquarium and/or the Tres Ojos cave.
